Looking back on Youth World Food Day 2019!
Look back with us at the Youth World Food Day festival in Ede last year at ‘Het Smaakpark’ with this recap! A great day filled with a lot of interesting topics, fun games and a lot of young people! Will you be joining us online this year?
World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honor of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in 1945. The day is celebrated widely by many other organisations concerned with food security, including the World Food Programme and the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
Since 2012 I4NATURE has been organising an online youth led event sharing perspectives globally on food security and taking on challenges together with opinion leaders, like I4NATURE influencer and ambassador to FAO-WFO-IFAD on behalf of the Kingdom of the Netherlands Hans Hoogeveen. YFWD has her central program hosted from the World Food Centre from the Netherlands, together with side events across the globe.
